ferromagnet nostalgic
had another problem with dreamhost. this one not at all my fault. I figured out how to fix it myself and my only real complaint is that they failed to respond to my support request in the six hours before i remembered to withdraw the ticket.
fyi... if you use dreamhost and ever get a "bad_httpd_conf" error, in the user cp goto manage domains -> edit, then change settings without altering anything
takes a second but forces the apache config to regnerate and clears up whatever issue there was
when there was a DMCA issue i had responses in minutes, so im not neccesarily unhappy with their customer service. but... i've heard tons of horror stories so hopefully this kind of thing doesnt become common
The other night i was reminiscing over some of the shitty music i used to listen to. I brought up Jodeci, someone else mentioned Ralph Tresvant, and then i remembered Johnny Gill. These were the artists who recorded some of the first albums I ever owned, all on cassette tape.

There was a slew of these kinds of acts in the early nineties. Its always the same. Someone has some success, in this case New Edition and Boyz II Men, and every label rushes to scoop up anyone similar and emulate. So we got Bel Biv Devoe, ABC, an endless list of soloists, and these guys. I played this tape endlessly until i lent it to my cousin during a long drive to Texas and never got it back. That bastard.
