I just counted and ive got nearly twenty-six thousand mp3s. I dont really know when or how this happened. It seems like just yesterday I was ripping all my cds onto my computer. Ive added steadily over the past couple years and particularly recently with all the free time I've had. Its somewhat bittersweet on a couple accounts. One being that i've filled my external hard drive to capacity when I'm not even close to having all the music I want, as if that will ever happen.
After posting that incredibly dull blog it occured to me that with my music collection busting at the seams I've got something better to offer than the tedium that is my everyday exisistance. Oh yes kids, I'm starting an mp3 blog. It'll be here for now, but im considering hosting it at the webspace i picked up recently. Considering, because I've got other plans for that site ;)On to the offering
I mentioned in my earlier post that I've been screaming along to the The Gossip all day and so (and because I've already got it uploaded) I'll begin with a bit from them.
I first learned of this band when a guy I was in a band with for like a day was trying to find a suitable analog for my voice. He was about to drop me off and said " you know who it is you sound like? the chick from the gossip!" I was stoked about that evening in general and perhaps even a little under the influence.(what?! me?!!? NOOO!) I didnt really think about his comment until a couple weeks later when i was doing my thing and found the album Movement. Holy Shit. Two things occured to me at that moment. 1. John is a fucking liar. B. This chick can fucking sing. I'm not sure theres a voice in music right now I can compare Beth Ditto's to. Certaintly not a voice gracing the Indie-Rock/Garage Punk genres. Fuck, if you know one let me know please! Im fucking tired of typing if you want to read more about these cats go here.

Something very different tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll make this a daily thing, but I can promise it will be frequent.
